Another View of the Harbor

The Harbor of Rhodes Town is a very important infrastructure and it has always been one for many centuries now. Many people’s lives revolve around the Harbor of Rhodes while others are dependent on this harbor for more ways than one.

Cruise lines owned by Rhodians or those who make Rhodes part of their route for instance, cannot exist and flourish if not for this wonderfully located harbor. Fishes, kelp, clams, lobsters, crabs and other edibles from the sea that are harvested by fishermen and fishing companies enter the island or leave the island through the Rhodes Harbor.

Locals and tourists also enjoy coming to this historic spot all the time because aside from the scenic view, the harbor continues to imbibe the spirit it had when it was the only major means of entry and exit in the island more than a thousand years ago when the Colossus of Rhodes still stood at its mouth and brought it to world fame.
