Current Weather in Rhodes

The weather in Rhodes is no different than most islands that you would come across. However, there are a lot of pecularities that you will find when it comes to Rhodes due to is geographical location being very close to Asia minor as well as being not very far from the Greek mainland. Most beaches in the island also have a good cover of mountains around the place that will help the breeze to develop that will also help getting the humidity levels from the beaches to an even soothing climate around the year.

We are looking at a beautiful island trying to get its climatic peculiarities from 2 major continents of the world namely: Asia & the Europe. Following is a brief of the average climate that you will find in the Rhodes island in the respective halves of the Year:

 January – June

It is a part rainy, at the same time a pleasant climate in Rhodes in this part of the year. January – February are pre-dominantly the parts of the year when it rains through this part of the world. The average temperature of the island at this part of the year is about 14 °C  and goes to an average minimum of about 10 °C . February is considered as one of the coolest months in Rhodes and therefore it is not the best of times to get into the beaches near this place. The average humidity throughout this time in Rhodes is about 65% which is more or less the same throughout the year. The weather temperature is much warmer during the April – June part of the year, the average maximum temperature rises to an average of 22°C  and an average minimum of 15°C  during these months. This is considered the summer part of the year and the average time Rhodes receives sun light during the day is higher in this part of the year.

July – December:

The start of the second half of the year is where tourism is at its peak in the Rhodes island. This is where the summer is at the most pleasant temperatures for an island. Being an island, the island still receives a moderate amount of rainfall even during the second half, however, it is a plesant amount that adds to the beauty of the place. Being the more hotter part of the year, the average day temperature rises upto an average of 28°C and a minimum average of 20°C. In spite of being the more hotter part of the year, the average humidity still stays at around the 65%.

Being an island around the Europe and close to Asia minor, Rhodes island provides an evenly distributed climate throughout the year, making it an exceptional destination.
