Stained Glass Windows

The island of Greece is home to numerous chapels and churches. Although worship of Greek god and goddesses were prevalent in archaic times, Christianity was also able to touch Rhodian religion and culture with its long grasping reach.

It was Saint Paul who first introduced Christianity to the Greek island of Rhodes and his influence left a lasting effect that would survive until the 21st century. Even from afar, a small town or village in Rhodes can easily be distinguished from among the surrounding hills and forests thanks to the bell towers and domed ceilings of chapels and churches situated usually at the height ground available.

Many of these churches and chapels feature colorful mosaic windows and stained glass panels that infuse such an impressive splash of color and vibrance to these dry and old halls of worship.
