Intern Community Tour: An Enriching and Inspiring Experience

McAllen, TX – The Rhodes Internship Program is committed to providing its students with a rich and immersive learning experience that goes beyond the boundaries of the office. The 2nd Annual Internship Community Bus Tour, hosted by the dynamic founder of organization, Mike Rhodes, was another testament to this mindset. On June 14th, the interns embarked on a community tour that not only allowed them to witness the legacy of Rhodes, but also gave them a closer look at some of the most thriving residential developments in the area.
The tour began with Mike sharing the inspiring story of the company’s humble beginnings and how it has grown to become one of the most respected and trusted names in the land development industry. The journey took the interns through some of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the area, including Bentsen Palm in Mission, Tres Lagos in McAllen, Villas on Freddy in north McAllen, and Silos at la Sienna in Edinburg. Each of these locations highlights the beautiful construction and thoughtful design that have become synonymous with the Esperanza Homes brand.
The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly when the interns got to tour the master-planned community of Tres Lagos in north McAllen. The state-of-the-art amenities and the innovative infrastructure left a lasting impression on the interns. They also had a chance to explore the community center and the brand-new Capistrano model home at Aqualina.
The interns also got an opportunity to interact one-on-one with Mike Rhodes, who shared his wealth of experience and insights with them. This provided them with valuable real-world exposure and gave them a chance to ask questions and learn from his expertise.
